Can you describe your job and an average day working at clypd?

My job is filled with variety. An average day starts with me coming into a cold office and letting the building engineer know the temperature should be adjusted. Then I check snack supplies while making myself a bowl of greek yogurt with raw honey, bananas, and granola. I settle in at my desk and check the calendar to refresh my memory on any planned birthday and anniversary celebrations. Then the day takes off and it’s all nonstop; order beer and coffee, plan the next event, troubleshoot the printer, sort out conference room bookings, pet a dog, sign for deliveries, phone screen a candidate for hire, and the list goes on.

An average Monday starts with a Bruegger’s bagel (we have bagels brought in every Monday), and some cold brew coffee that we have on tap. I catch up on some emails and either lead or join my team’s stand-up; I am co-agile coach with Sumit and we swap the role every other week.

As we grow older, food and its purpose change. Where once we ate solely to sustain ourselves, many of us now use our meals as a way to spend time with friends, and as a venue to converse and connect with others.

Here at clypd, food plays an integral role in how we operate. From the snacks scattered around the office (some healthy, others…not so much) to having extra bushels of bananas to the delicious desserts delivered for a birthday celebration, food brings us together.

Can you describe your job and an average day working at clypd?

I like to get in about an hour before our stand-up meeting to have time to make myself an Aeropress coffee, read my email, and catch up with engineers on other teams. I’m lucky enough to get to work on projects all over our tech stack, from standing up new platform APIs, integrating with data-science, and helping our UI team use state of the art technology. I try and fit all my meetings to synchronize on my projects in the mornings, so that I can concentrate on writing code in the afternoon. I also like to round out the day with a rousing game of foosball.

I work on the UI team, which means that I get to help develop our user-facing features. Day-to-day what I could be working on anything, from UX brainstorming to re-organizing our database to coding up pretty and interactive charts!

I like to arrive a half hour before stand-up at 9:30 so I have a bit of quiet time in the morning to eat a pastry and drink coffee while I read my email. After our stand-up, I alternate between working on my own projects, helping out teammates, and going to meetings.

Can you describe your job and an average day working at clypd?

As a Data Scientist, I’m tasked with creating value out of all the data clypd touches. That data includes internal and external sources, such as TV ratings. On an average day, I’m exploring a new dataset and learning everything I can about TV trends. Then, thinking a long while about what kinds of metrics and products that would help clypd with programmatic buying and selling strategies.
